Since the start of 2008 our lives have been turned upside down and even when
we thought that life could not go on we have had people around us who
have not only made life bearable, but sometimes have made us forget the
terrible illness that we have in the family.
It is with this in mind that we have setup this charity. We have been touched by several
small charities who struggle to make ends meet, but still they make the
life of people better everyday without showing how hard it is to keep
their services running.
When we have been at our lowest, we have always been lucky enough to have
someone at our side to guide us through the hard times. We
have not known which way to turn but there has been someone there to show us
the way. Whenever we thought our life was on hold we had someone there
to show us that life with a serious illness can go on, and that when you
think there is no light at the end of the tunnel there is always someone
there with a torch.
Every penny that we make goes straight out to the charities, not necessarily
in equal amounts as a £1 for one may buy what they need whereas for
another a £1 would be easily swallowed up with nothing to show. We are going to
work hard and closely with the charities to ensure that they get a fair
share of what we raise, and also to ensure that the money ends up were it
is needed. We aim to operate an open book charity and anyone will be
able to see were the money goes and on what. We will also aim to
enlighten you to how each charity works and give you the opportunity to
donate directly to them, after all, one of our selected charities may be
closer to your heart than another.
